Doll's Style

If 2007's shapeless, airy frocks were about looking like a doll, then 2008 is about being a girl again. Ballerinas and school girls have been crowding the fall/winter 2008 runways. Gwen Stefani announced the release her Harajuku Lovers fragrances in doll-shaped bottles (due out later this year). Michael William's Haute Dollhouse has adult women drooling. And a slew of "innocent" scents from names like Yves Saint Laurent, Vera Wang, Thierry Mugler, and Demeter are hitting the shelves.
Does all of this mean we on the verge of a new wave of Kawaii style, where women have permission to aesthetically revert to childhood? (I'll leave the answer up to the girls at fashionablycute.net.) Or does this just mean it's okay for us to play with dolls again? (In which case, I'm totally not there!) I worship high end and vintage style not the "cutie doll play with pink" style. So goodbye dolls, thanks for y'all color inspiration tho!

Q & A : Hunks

Who is your favorite hunks?
Currently my favourite hunks are Ed Westwick, Chace Crawford and Penn Badgley.
Why?
My my, everyone in this whole wide world know that they are incredibly good looking.
How about your fashion sight on 'em?
Off screen is ordinary but on screen is extraordinary.
Im loving the way Chuck Bass dressed up who is potrayed by Ed Westwick . He a definitely a male version of Blair Waldorf. He has a sophisticated and high end style. Lovin him!

Chace Crawford please?
Umm his fashion style is avarage on screen. Nate Archibald is "i wear whatever is comfort" typical guy. But when he does photoshoot, his good looking face looks good on every clothes and style. Dont believe it? Look at 'em!

So you leave Penn Badgley alone? Hes Dan Humprey for god's sake!
No no no! How dare i am to leave the heart of Serena Van Der Woodsen alone. On screen Penn have a lots of good bags and coats and ohh phrase too hahahaha. Hes not cute but handsome and macho ahahahahha *hate that word*. (click to enlarge)

Perth Fashion

" Perth fashion is eclectic, inspiring, original, there’s definitely something to be said about living in one the world’s most isolated cities and what it brings out creatively."
" Perth fashion is Like a poem I can’t remember, a song that may never have existed and a place I’m not sure I’ve ever been to"
" Perth fashion is whatever you want it to be. It doesn’t matter how much or how little you pay, as long as it is fun!"
" Perth fashion isn’t half as bad as some people think it is. It has its good and its bad, just like every other city in the world!"
" Perth fashion is in need of more flurotrash."
Yes! those are the answers from many sources about perth fashion. Since im currently doing vacation here i will write review about Perth Fashion. Well for me Perth fashion is something beyond fashion itself. They dressed up like there is no season, no brands and no boundaries. "WOW" was my first word when i met fashion junkies on perth. Compare to Jakarta i think Perth fashion is more sleek and neat but yet still creative. Perth fashion is different from Melbourne fashion which is look alike Jakarta fashion. Lots of people underestimate Perth fashion, well i think you all should try how cool Perth fashion is. Pictures bellow are my favorite Perth's street style. They all look fabulous aren't they?

Boys Fashion
It took awhile to evolve but menswear has finally taken a step to the foreground in fashion. Blame metrosexuals. But everyone does like a well dressed boy, a cool guy with style. Such as the one above. Here are some looks to love from Fall 2007 Menswear lines. Inform your boyfriends.
Alessandro Dell'AcquaI love how tailored these looks are, and because they are classic formal looks, any guy can look good in them. Thin pants but not skinny jeans, worn low but not falling off. It can also be made a bit more casual with a decent sneaker, such as in Lanvin, & Alessandro Dell' Acqua. My suggestion: converse. All black converse, or black and white, such as these:

I love the masculine clean cut look, so I never thought I'd be into the whole 'man purse' thing. After all how much do they really need to carry? Wallet? Cell phone? But the two worked hand in hand to create some of my favourite outfits in the Dolce & Gabbana line:

Men are also rockin wide leg trousers on the runway ( Yves Saint Laurent):

Things to know about men's fashion:
- the model's are hot! Though some may be thinner than you are.
- the looks are similar
- street wear does not exist
- you may be appaled by the creations from your favourite designers for their men's lines
- just because it is a male designer doesn't mean their collection will be good
DO wear fake fur around the collar
DON'T don full fur coat a la Andre Leon Tally. Especially one with short sleeves, pants and shoes of the same colour, and buggy sunglasses.
DO experiment with colours, prints and shapesDON'T wear clashing colours, prints and shapes all the same time
DO layer
DON'T look homeless
DO wear dark denim
DO wear light denim
DON'T try to pass off the jeans you accidentally added bleach too as wearable
DON'T wear tie dye!
(I'm sure guys don't anyways, but I thought I'd throw that in there as well)

And to end it off with my favourite men's collection! Etro!
It's nerdy done right! So cute!

Jumpsuits / Playsuits
First off, I don't know the exact name of the garment I'm talking about. Some sites call them jumpsuits (which just reminds me of those orange, jumpsuits from prison,) and other sites call them playsuits (such as Top Shop.) Doesn't matter, I'll just call them jumpsuits here. Actually, they remind me of shirt-dresses, which I just blogged about on Thursday, except jumpsuits' bottoms are shorts instead of skirts. Oops ok I'm rambling...So the point of this post is me saying eww to jumpsuits. Jumpsuits is a thing that I relate to the 80's, and 80's to me is a decade of somewhat vulgar fashion, (although this really is more of an impression rather than me actually knowing 80's fashion well.) Plus this season's 80's revival of bright colours doesn't help.
I have to admit Nicole Richie makes the jumpsuit look mega-glamorous. (And no, this does not mean I think of her as my role model of any sorts.) I like the black and gold combo.

Fashion
For me fashion is divide to 3 parts. And they are. . .
- Creator
- Consumer 1
- Consumer 2
The Description and Examples
Creator is a person who create styles.
It can describe as fashion designer and fashion styles.
They are the person behind fashion industry.
Consumer 1
Consumer 1 is a person who find styles.
I take Mischa Barton for example, she bought back channel quilted bag to the top.
Rachel Bilson also a good example, shes adaptable enough with hollywood's fashion and she do it herself aka without stylist.
Hillary Duff, Zooey Deschanel, Sarah Jessica Parker, Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss are the other example.
Consumer 2
Consumer 2 is a person who copy or followed styles.
Paris Hilton for example, she might not copy styles but she follow styles, its different from Sarah Jessica Parker and Zooey Deschanel who let styles follow them, you cant find any pictures of Paris who arent wearing this season hot stuff.
Nicole Richie might have a great styles to copy but it doesnt mean that shes consumer 1, because she have a stylist who tell her what she have to wear and her stylist has a big influence in to her style since she can be that skinny just because Rachel Zoe told her so. But hello?! everyone love her (or Rachel Zoe) coz she found that amazing bag from Balenciaga!
Which one are you?
You are Creator if you ...
- Interested on fashion design and stylist
- Can help your friends to mix and match their dress
- Realize that fashion isnt just about to wearing but creating
- Love to give advice not critics
- Creative, duh??
- Are not depends on high level brands
- Love to wear something different
- Like to try something new
- Take critics of your fashion sense as your new lesson
- Have a description of your style
- Love Hillary Duff better that Lindsay Lohan hha, dont take it seriously!
- High level brands junkie
- Follow the trends
- Take critics personally
- The pressure to be skinny is on your head
- I want to be like them is your motto
- Cover up your doubt with over confidence style
